To begin, your new unit must be the right size for your home. Most companies will just slap in whatever matches your old unit – but not us.
We perform the proper load calculations before we order your new system because having one that is too big or small for your home can cause serious trouble.
If it’s too big, you can end up with cold spots in your home. And too small can cause it to run for too long, shortening its lifespan significantly.
Placement
We don’t just slide in the new unit.
No. We first ensure that it will be sitting on a level surface. And if not, then we make it level.
When your furnace sits at an angle, it interferes with proper draining of condensation, which can cause the pan to fill with water.
We also place a stand beneath your furnace to allow airflow from the side and bottom. This setup also protects your furnace if your basement gets flooded.
